The edge of the railings of St John's Church, behind the group on the left, is the only indication of this place today. All the other buildings have been lost. Smithford Street, leading to Broadgate is directly ahead showing the tram and Hill Street on the immediate left. Ribbon weavers' top shops can be seen on the right indicating how much of the industry could be found around the city centre during its heyday.
